PEARL HARBOR CHRISTIAN ACADEMY PRESCHOOL is committed to God and serving the children and families in our school. By working in partnership with our parents, we will provide an ongoing, biblically based education and enriching curriculum to enable children to develop a love for and sense of security in Jesus Christ, respect for others, respect for themselves, independence, self-control, confidence, as well as cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development.
Program Distinctives
Our program is distinct as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor and unyielding in maintaining a strong Biblical foundation in all aspects of teaching. Although we promote “play” and socialization with peers, we also maintain a structured academic program that is designed to prepare our students to move on to elementary school.
Program Goals
Students are presented with a high standard of learning with lessons integrated with biblical principles and that all truth comes from God’s Word. Students in our program will:
- Be introduced to know and love Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior
- Be able to relate to others in a social setting
- Develop creativity
- Develop large and small muscle skills
- Develop a sense of themselves and others
- Develop communication skills
- Develop life long learning skills that prepares them to be successful in their future education
School Activities
Students will participate in daily Bible lessons with Chapel Services once a week. Academics will include instruction in Phonics and Reading, Cursive Writing, Poetry, Language, and Number Skills. In addition to academics, activities will also include art, computers, music, physical education, and field trips.
Class Sizes
The teacher- student ratio is 1:12 (PreK-3yrs) and 1:16 (Jr.K-4yrs). However we may limit the class size ratio to a lower number as needed.
