PHCA High School
Pearl Harbor Christian Academy is proud to announce that since SY 2020-2021, we have had a high school curriculum offering. Humbly began as a brainstorming process in the summer of 2020, the high school program is the culmination of extensive planning, research, and answered prayer by our team of middle school teachers. Through careful consideration and communication with the Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor (CCPH) church board, the decision was made to officially kick off the high school pilot program at the start of the 2020-2021 school year, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our entire student body at the high school began with just six students filling in the ninth thru eleventh grade. In our second year as a high school, we saw our student population nearly double, to eleven students. And we are excited that this school year (21-22) will be our first ever graduating Senior class of PHCA! As a ministry of CCPH, our school aims to provide the best quality Christian education that we can. With much success in student enrollment, academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities that we’ve seen in the last twenty years as a Pre-K through 8th Grade school, we now feel so blessed to offer such opportunities to our high school students as well. Our high school also is dually accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are an affiliate of Liberty University through Liberty University Online Academy (LUOA) and are able to offer Dual-Enrollment Online College Courses through LUOA.
What we offer?
The PHCA high school program mirrors that of schools associated with the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS). Class structure is considered a “blended” learning environment with some classes offered as “in-person” and some as “online/virtual”. Path to Graduation
The path to graduation may look different depending on an individual student’s goals. The goal of the PHCA high school program is to offer college preparatory education to equip our graduates with the right classes needed to compete for college acceptance and admittance into the college of their choice. At a minimum, every student must have earned at least 24 credits to graduate, and as such, we offer four paths to graduation which are (aside from the basic HS diploma requirements):
Liberty University Online Academy Affiliation (LUOA)
As an affiliate with Liberty University, located in Lynchburg,VA, our school is able to partner with their online academy (LUOA) and offer our students a greater depth and breadth in their educational endeavor. This partnership allows us to offer courses that we would not otherwise be able to offer, such as higher level math and science courses, foreign language courses, electives, and biblical studies to name a few. This partnership also allows our students to receive dual credit for some college courses and also an opportunity to graduate high school with an Associates Degree as well, if students choose.
Why Choose PHCA?
